Oh, Sweet Maiden!

A burning flame, Glaring at, the steaming lane, The land of all, massacred slaves, Ripped by love, the origin of fate. Oh, that land, the rose crammed bed, Jammed with laughs, and smiles unshed, Pure as the heart, of an infant at rest, Led by the God, of foul prospects. The enchanter, of the dark, To the illusion, of a delicate arch, With the maiden, of sweetness at heart, Stepped in to, a mirrored witchcraft. Swinging and swaying, the ballerina passionate, Sliding and leaping, the pianist considerate, Stumbling and collapsing, the maiden naïve and laid, Weeping and hollering, through the crack sorcery reigns. Maiden, sweet maiden, dumbstruck, betrayed, Threw fits at the mirrors, of the enchanted cave, Left at the wilderness, to wither and break, Oh, sweet maiden, Queen Insane. -Nataliya Ludwick- @thepoeticvoyage

A Ray of Hope...

A burning heart, A ranging fire, Confused and wrapped, Like a tangled wire. A lonely heart, A lost desire, Hurt and Bruised, But a pretty attire. A pouring rain, The gushing winds, In the tender veins, Though the blood flows in. A deadly drought, The unbearable heat, In an innocent soul, Who still spreads peace. The broken wings, Flying into spring, With a hidden voice, And can't fit in. In an unkind world, With the pennies earned, Crushed in the spirit, But conquered the world. Feeling bad, Not at least glad, But in the wilderness speaks, A ray of Hope, Maybe some where, There's a helping hand, To hold on and withstand. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

For The Sake of...

There was a time,  when the mornings were bright, She ran across the room,  and dressed up in white, To head off to school,  with a cheerful smile, Just for the sake of, her future light. There was a time,  when the mornings were bright, She ran across the room,  she turned on the lights, To head off to college,  she smiled with delight, Just for the sake of, a future that's bright. There was a time,  when the mornings were bright, She woke up for the alarm, she sat upright, To head off to work, with an unreal smile, Just for the sake of, the need to survive. There was a time,  when the mornings were bright, She did not wake up,  she laid down and cried, To drain down her sorrows,  to think for a while, Just for the sake of, she don't know why. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

I Continued...

Looking through, the window inside, On this wonderful day, the sun is bright, Little birds sing, a joyful rhyme, A bride prepares, for her carriage ride, In between four walls, I continued to write. Children screamed, come quickly let's hide, By the tree he sat, for the shade they provide, Cheerful little girls, enjoyed the slide, Mom continued to say, "come eat your rice", In between four walls, I continued to rhyme. The silver fountain, standing tall outside, With the sun's rays, it had to shine, The birds dance, and sing inside, What a beautiful day, what a beautiful sight, In between four walls, I continued with a sigh. For understanding there was, a great big fight, To understand and forgive, was a great big crime, Living with regrets, is the lesson taught by life, In this crowded world, I could not cry, In between four walls, I continued to fake smile. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

She Ran for Her Life...

When the winds, had to reign, Blowing off, the peace and the trails, The night of fears, made her a slave, She ran for her life, and hid in the cave. The numbness, in her blue palms, Worsened like the, reigning storm, When the snow stood tall, like a wall, Blocking the entrance, making her crawl. The paleness, in her white face, Whitened like, the snowy cave, When she heard. the growl escape, The furious bear, oh he's awake. He's fur, was white like a swan, With teeth that's sharper, than a dog's, On her lips, was a sorrowful song, In her head, was unending wars, For a while she felt, her heart pause. No space to run, she crawled instead, With screams and cries, her tears she shed, She shut her eyes, she held her head, With the warm touch, she felt on her leg,  She opened her eyes, she's on her bed. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

They are on Their Way...

Wide awake, on a misty night, By the lake, where the waters slide, The monsters shake, the calm beehives, They are on their way, it's better to hide. The narrow lane, too hard to ride, A huge cave, there's no bright light, The monsters crave, for screams and cries, They are on their way, hurry up decide. Far away, where the people reside, A busy brain, striving hard to climb so high, The monsters ate, their time and smiles, They are on their way, how can I abide. By the lake, of this scary life, On a rock, of a thoughtful mind, In my heart, I sit to write, A rhyme about the bitter times, Caused by the monsters, hidden inside. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

It's Precious Thus Rare...

Unable to escape, from the world's snare, A stray mind runs, here and there, There's peace in the world, and here's your share, Together let's sit, and work, on your heart's repair. Look around, they'll never declare, The burden's they carry, they are aware, They'll never let you know, cause it's there's to bear, Instead you'll see, the fake smiles, they wear. In a closed room, they sit on a chair, They uncover their face, it's filled with despair, If only we could, sneak in, to hear their blare, But how can we sneak, into a heart's prayer? For sure in life, they do really care, On things left behind, that we are unaware, Just like you, they too would have prepared, For a second chance, that flew away in the air. I know this life, is so unfair, It's better to ignore than to compare, Let go off this life? Don't you dare, A second chance is precious, thus rare. -Debra R. ...

A Little Bit More...

Life has changed, unlike before, I'm on the skiff, I see the shore, In a distance exists, the bright glow, I'll soon be there, oh yes I know. The sea is rough, I better go slow, When the skiff starts, to weigh more, There's things I love, I'll have to throw, It hurts a lot, but the pain, I'll ignore. The cloudy skies, please look below, The things I love, I must let go, What's mine will swim, with my skiff to the shore, Please be kind, when you start to roar. Far away, behind the glow, I see a light, that glows a little bit more, My poor skiff, its scarce, I know, I'll build you up, stronger than before, If only I planned a little bit more. Looking back, at the things, I had to throw, A few of them, had started to follow, Knowing that, the others were forbidden to hold, I bid goodbye, with sorrows untold. Leaving this sight, I turned back to the shore, The eyes of my heart, looked back to mourn, ...

The Narrowing Stream...

When it was time, to be in my mother's reach, I would have welcomed the world, with my baby scream, With my mom and dad, I made my safety team, Oh how I longed, to complete all my vaccines, By that time, I've come all the way to my teens. From then to now, I longed to see, Myself on, the highest mountain peaks, My fears ranged, covering my path with steam, This mind haunted the nights, stealing my sleep, Forever I'm stuck, with these daily routines. How on Earth are these things worth it? To trade my joy, to trade my sleep, I scare my heart, in my mind I scream, When it comes to my life, I feel like a machine, Even they do stop, at their highest degrees. I long and long, forever in life's streets, With one in hand, to the next I reach, This is how the world goes, not only for me, This life on Earth is a narrowing stream, And this stream, seems to be based, on our dreams. -Debra R. To My Destiny...

Things have to start, Things have to end, You'll have to laugh, You'll have to bend. The nights may be long, When snow covers the fence, But you'll find a way to be warm, It can be through fire, don't forget. In the play of life, We continue to pretend, With the help of lies, Keep in mind, we must repent. When the days are long, And the leaves cover the fence, The grass looks like straw, That's alright, nature will color it again. From the oceans deep, To mountain tops and ends, The paths we crawl, are tricky my friend, Where ever I go, I know, To my destiny, is where this life directs.  -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

Longing For Belongings...

The grey skies, decorated with lightening, The puddles disturbed, by the people walking, The shutters kissed, by the rain that's pouring, No not at all, this life is never boring. Along with this, my mind began her sparkling, In the midst of the rain, I did not feel her pausing, In the flood of her imagination, she was swimming, I could not save her, I didn't know she was drowning. Back to the land, I saw her crawling, Filling some forms, I know she's withdrawing, The imagination, from her head, that's overflowing, With words and rhymes, she began her drawing. Seated quietly, she continued exploring, Through the disturbing winds, that are blowing, Her hands could not stop, shivering, But she desperately continued, her drawing. She turned back to me, she's smiling, Oh yes, that's me, in my own mind wondering, She handed me this rhyme, that I'm sharing, And she jumped into the flood of life, longing, No...

Until They Reached Heaven...

Longing for the rising sun, With an endless cry,  And sleep undone, On this scary night, When the moon, refused to come. Seated by the rivers that run, She missed them all, one by one, All the love and all the fun, Until she realized, she had none, But her mind unkind, showed her a ton A ton of fun, a ton of lies, A ton that made her feel alive, A ton that threw away her fright, One at a time, she did realize, There was none, but just some lies. Seated on the rocks that night, That stood against the rivers that slide, They splashed, along with the crash, Sprinkling all the love they had, I'm pretty sure, she was glad. She told them about the path she drove, Showing them all the scars from swords, Some pierced the heart with words, The other pierced the mind, with words untold, She poured her tears, all night long, Until they reached the Heaven above. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

A Tear Drop's Break...

The sun and I, have a race, Even before she shine, I tend to awake. The moon and I, sit by the lake, Until the dead of night, I tend to regret. The ocean and I, we collaborate, Before she needs a supply, My tears I shake. The volcano and I, continue to retake, All unpleasing lines, They threw at my face. The happiness and I, we try to escape, That distracting time, I made mistakes. The sorrow and I, can never separate, These hills I've climbed, Also the ones I'll take. The wind and I, can never fly away, From the time that's mine, Or the time I waste. This mind of mine, understand's the fake, It's far away from my sight, But it's smell, is stale. This heart of mine, forever will crave, For peace of mind, And a tear drop's break. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

Seasons...

When things around becomes uneven, The joys of the heart, are stolen, By the flames, the air is overtaken, Hide it wisely, hide it in the season. When the path is rough, with no visible reason, The feet gets tough, for its acceleration, With just one puff, your life can be taken, Hold on wisely, hold on to the season. When the frost surrounds, I know it's freezing, The arms go around, the body that's shuddering, Just light one match, you'll see it melting, Light up the whole season, light it wisely, You'll see it thawing. When the hills tremble, dragging us down, to nothing, The mind rolls around, hoping for help, from something, One strong branch, that catch our sight, can be everything, Look through the whole season, look wisely, It's time for grabbing. When knives stab your heart, for no reason, The love pours out, no no, add it to your collection, You'll need it all, from head to toe, when you are beaten, ...

Together Let's Plead...

There used to be days, He stared at the waves, With a smile on his face, Though his heart was scraped. For understanding he craved, Hiding in a dark cave, His sorrows were caged, By the judgments raised. He had no right, to shed a tear, In the light, he lived in fear, To survive, he did not need a beer, Yes he lives, on Earth, right here. The world would say, he's care free, I see him walking, bare feet, This sunny day, on the tar street, They helped him out, the shady trees. This sorrow my friend, would fade away, Our life on Earth, is a short stay, I know you're hurt, in many ways, To the selfish world, we all are preys. Feelings have turned from gold to steel, Idle creeps in to this life, to steal, Each day that ends, is a falling leaf, It's hard, to wake up, from this bad dream, To the one above, together let's plead. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

No Interest To Show...

Along with the stormy breeze, That swept away the land's, ease, Dragging down the giant trees, In my castle, I only sneezed. Looking through the window glass, That stood among the attic walls, The wind made the surrounding dance, While she crawled to lie on the grass. Trying hard to crawl off an iron box, She begged for help from all the rocks, Watching the people turn away and pass, Until that soul so soft, carried her on to the grass. Voices ranging from the floor below, Grumbling about the dirt in the meadow, Maybe because, about her they didn't know, Or maybe there was no interest to show. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

I Walked Away With Pity...

With the pearl like sand touching the feet, The cool briny water mixed with the breeze, And sounds of the playing children, so sweet, The zombie like lady walked towards the sea. Didn't she hear her children scream? Didn't she know, that she chose defeat? May be everything was obsolete, May be something in her was incomplete. Suddenly she pulled out a sheet, She dipped it in the roaring seas, Carrying it back towards the streets, Wiping the dust off her daughter's feet. She stretched out her hands directly to me, I passed her as if I did not see, From a few steps away, I turned back to see, The little girl smile, knowing I gave her nothing to eat. Walking back I gave her my penny, That's all I had, I wish I could do many, With a grateful smile, she accepted my penny, With a shameful heart, I walked away with pity. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

When The Lights Went Out...

Surrounded by four brick walls, I could not look out, they were too tall, Watching the steam escaping the spout, I looked out the windows so small. On this chilly and gloomy night, I was amazed by the stars so bright, I realized there's always some light, It's just a matter of catching our sight. At the time, everybody just frowned, My heart was filled with stormy clouds, Seated on the chilly ground, I enjoyed, the chirping sounds. Even though I had to shout, Trying hard to chase away the stormy clouds, With a prayer requesting for a favor, To the lessons taught by nature, My head I bowed, On the gloomy night,  When the lights went out. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

Peep Out Of Your Cage...

The world has changed, Oh yes it's strange, I wonder if I was exchanged, This messy life, how can I arrange? The world filled with so much complaints, I guess they are stuck in our veins, This have caused all the constraints, Oh, thinking of this, I might faint. We limit our gains, To a paddy grain, Living with, all of this strain, What happened to my world?  Can somebody please, explain. I saw her lock her heart, inside a steel cage, She refused, to experience a change, She chained the hearts, who came to save, With scars so deep, they tried to escape. The hearts locked with a giant chain, Has forgotten all what it contains, May be the the chains would someday decay, But the hurt it caused, will forever remain. Oh heart you reign in your steel cage, Think again before you chain, Another heart that strives for a change, Please let her go ahead and turn the page, For just a while, peep out of your cage. ...

The Red Flare Flower...

Looking up into the sky, Above the mountains I passed by, My heart was stabbed with just one line, Life is tough but you'll be fine. Passing the rivers that hit the rocks, I felt my calmness crash and get good shots, By the troubles that are yet to come, So clever you are the stabbing one. I feared about the things to come, Building up more troubles like rocks, My heart sank in I left that block, Crying out loud, my knees kissed the ground. This life for sure is so very tough, The paths I crawled are so very rough, I see more signs of fading smiles, But can I get so weak with just one line? Wiping off the tear drops, Opening the door that I just locked, I realized, its still not time to worry about, With this in mind I ran back to the top. It was you the stabbing one, That threw me down from many to none, Can you see the hot blazing sun? She loves to burn, not just for a month. Have you seen the pretty bright moon? With her silvery shine, ...
