Forever In My Heart, I Swear...

Fingers stuck in my curly hair, Lying on the couch over there, I waited long to see my bears, I really thought, that they were aware. The wait did take an hour or two, There were days, that they never came too, Breaking my heart, the time just flew, I used to blame, my bear crew. Standing tall on my little feet, I clapped aloud to their beat, Going towards the tv screen, I welcomed them; they are too sweet. On bed I was, my Bedtime Bear, When I laughed, I was my Cheer Bear, The grumpy me, was my Grumpy Bear, To mom I was, my Goodluck Bear, With my sisters, I had to be my Share Bear. On my favorite day, my Birthday Bear, To my friend, I was a Friend Bear, I accompanied my Love-a-lot Bear, Along with my Tenderheart Bear, To grandma I was, my Funshine Bear, Still I strive hard to be Wish Bear. I hope you remember at least one bear, They taught me a lot, especially to care, At least now, you know, the Care Bear...

Life's Best Portray...

On such a hectic day, Where I will never dream to say, A single word that would not sound grey, How did you fb? how did you manage to make my day? Trying hard to go out of the way, The work kept me stuck on the PC like clay, The beep helped me out to look away from the display, Now I feel like sticking on to my memories like clay. This rhyme for sure may not convey, The entire life we lived those days, But for a while I thought to replay, The love we shared, just let them carry us away. There were days we used to stay, Just to laugh and maybe play, Wasn't it fun the decoration days? The days we swam in utter disarray. Even if I write poems or essays, We can never have that time in the same way, But for sure and forever in my mind you'll stay, And you guys know what?? I think, that was life's best portray. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

It's All I've Earned Up To Date...

That relaxing evening, I sat down and gazed, Running down my memory lane, Stepping out to shut the gate. Seated in my garden space, Pulling out a wooden chest, With birds around I couldn't chase, They flew around, staring at my face. I told them all, how much I've grown, In this life, I've never known, I paused a while to show the path, Spreading all memories on a huge cloth. Picking up one at a time, Setting all in the memory line, Seeing myself panic that day, Releasing a sigh with nothing to say. Lifting up my eyes I said, "That was a time, I should have obeyed", "This taught me so much" with a smile I said, Saving my smile that memory I laid. Picking up the next I said, "This was fun, come have some bread", I told them all the games I've played, With a joyful heart that memory I laid. With a gentle knock on the gate, I knew it was mom, when I saw a wave, Safely storing all memories in the chest, I ...
