A Ray of Hope...

A burning heart, A ranging fire, Confused and wrapped, Like a tangled wire. A lonely heart, A lost desire, Hurt and Bruised, But a pretty attire. A pouring rain, The gushing winds, In the tender veins, Though the blood flows in. A deadly drought, The unbearable heat, In an innocent soul, Who still spreads peace. The broken wings, Flying into spring, With a hidden voice, And can't fit in. In an unkind world, With the pennies earned, Crushed in the spirit, But conquered the world. Feeling bad, Not at least glad, But in the wilderness speaks, A ray of Hope, Maybe some where, There's a helping hand, To hold on and withstand. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

My Only Hope...

Trapped between, the drought and the snow, My thoughts run fast, while my heart runs slow, The limits to be timid, I do not know, But that powerful spell, can be a simple hello. Waving my wand, to the sides, above and below, Whispering to my wand, cast the spell hello, My heart was lit, to see that little glow, With teary eyes I watched, it hide in the snow. Wiping my tears, now here we go, This time I'll be loud, a little bit more, My longing heart, saw that bright glow, In no time it went missing, with the sun's glow. This helpless heart, could not take it anymore, With no place to sit, on this confused floor, On one side I see, a burning cracked floor, The other side was filled with icy cold snow. Raising my eyes to the sky, in search of my only hope, With my teary eyes and a stuffy nose, Before a word, escaped to the winds that blow, I heard him say, relax, I know. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

My Heart Ignites...

Waking up in the middle of the night, From a distance I saw a fading light, Sneaking out to stare at the skies, I saw gloomy clouds, cover the moon that shine. Telling the clouds, they have no right, To take away the beautiful light, That destroy the darkness each and every night, The moon peeped in to say, "It's only for a while". Through the dark, my eyes caught this sight, That filled my heart with so much delight, There is hope even through the gloomy nights, All that matters is your ability to shine. Looking for a spark to ignite, But what can I find on a gloomy night, I did not intend to invite you, Ms. Fright, The moon peeped again, to say, "It's alright". Considering the previous sight, It seemed to be a brand-new light, Dearest moon so quiet and bright, My heart heard your advice on this gloomy night. The moon took over my heart and mind, It's their duty not just their choice, To be my moon on the gloomy nig...

Many Lit Hearts That See No Light...

Gazing up to the stars that shine, Striving hard to end a sleepless night, With thoughts that haunt the disturbed mind, A sigh escaped blowing off the lights. Laying one palm on the beating heart, Pouring out the teardrops, With a palm that seals the stammering lips, She failed to save her heart that was lit. Gazing back at the stars that shine, Inquiring how they shine so bright, Whispering, "You'll never know fire's crime", She realized it's the fire that lights. Staring up with misty eyes, With thankful lips she praised the skies, That holds the stars, who chose to light, The earth during the day and the night. With shameful lips and a silent cry, She thanked the starts for standing by, Not to hug and make her mild, But to show her the forgotten side. This one thought that crossed her mind, She made a point to get it right, Her heart that burns for this sleepless night, Will be a light that indeed will guide, Many lit hea...
