To Heaven's Golden Gate...

In the dark, on a sunny day, The air was cold, inside the doorway, On the freezing ground, my head I lay, To see the light, of the sun's ray. The blames I hear, for not my mistake, My efforts I saw, you crushed them, In vain! Why didn't I relax, all those days? I blamed myself, again and again. Was it your pride, that ruined my day? Or was it your need, to ruin my stay, The stay, of course it's short, today I'll say, I promise I won't run, I'll fly high up and away. This life is short, can I call you a friend? The time runs fast, on a path filled with bends, I do feel dizzy, but every town I'll attend, Cause only on the one above, I depend. I believe you'll understand, At least when it's too late, I'll forget you exists, Cause though you can, I can't wait. With the ink of my eyes, On a petal of my heart, I'll write it down, I'll keep it safe, Or maybe it's better, to...

Until They Reached Heaven...

Longing for the rising sun, With an endless cry,  And sleep undone, On this scary night, When the moon, refused to come. Seated by the rivers that run, She missed them all, one by one, All the love and all the fun, Until she realized, she had none, But her mind unkind, showed her a ton A ton of fun, a ton of lies, A ton that made her feel alive, A ton that threw away her fright, One at a time, she did realize, There was none, but just some lies. Seated on the rocks that night, That stood against the rivers that slide, They splashed, along with the crash, Sprinkling all the love they had, I'm pretty sure, she was glad. She told them about the path she drove, Showing them all the scars from swords, Some pierced the heart with words, The other pierced the mind, with words untold, She poured her tears, all night long, Until they reached the Heaven above. -Debra R. Now That's Very Clear...

Screaming out aloud in fear, I opened my eyes in my room so dear, It's a nightmare from a distance I hear, Go back to bed, I'll be near. My heart filled with so much fear, Wondering where the monster disappeared, Praying that he will not reappear, I must be brave there's no monster in here. Walking into the mall that's near, My friend and I stood under the chandelier, The weather was great outside and the skies so clear, I remembered my previous night's fear. I was about to share it with my peer, I noticed that she had just disappeared, Telling myself it's no doubt my dear, I saw her rushing to pierce her ear. Thinking of last night's fears, I happened to see eyes filled with tears, Far away I heard someone cheer, Another hung up the phone saying, I wish you were near. It's our own lives, nobody can interfere, With this thought I saw my peer, With a broad smile and a pierced ear, In her eyes was a fading tear. ...

Dear Aching Heart Of A Widow...

Rain drops on the glass of my window, Tear drops on the cheeks of a widow, Rain drops can't harm a sparrow, Tear drops go wash off her sorrows. Rain filled the empty wheel barrow, Mud filled the empty holes so hollow, In the rush there's no bucket to borrow, To collect all the ceaseless tears of a widow. Come let's run to the river so shallow, Let's pick up all the poor dying willows, There you go pick them all little kiddo, Let's go plant it right next to the widow. Though you can't, dear river so shallow, Her tears will save the poor dying willows, Don't be scared, she's got you little kiddo, You will rise when the plants grow dear widow. Come lay down on this fluffy pillow, That's alright come pour out your sorrows, Can you see? God protects the defenseless sparrow, You are more precious to God, Dear aching heart of a widow. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

You Figured It Out...

There's one thing, I hate to say, I don't want to say, And I'm not going to say. There's one thing, That bother my mind, I can't figure out, Why do you cross my mind? I never touched you, But I have loved you, I said I don't like you, But that's not true. Weird it is, Even I never knew, I thought it was hate, But I think it is fear, up to date. Strange you are, You figured it out, You stayed away, But always cared. There came a time, When there was no fear, When you were around, There came a time, When you left a tear, With my mother's call, I hate to say, What she had to say, That "Jenny is dead". -Debra R. N. The one I trust even with my eyes shut...

That lovely one I never see, That protective one who warns me, The hidden one I only feel, The hidden one In my heart so deep. That one true friend, Who will be there to the end, She tells me even before I tend, That surely 'It's a dead end'. She tells me when, I'm wondering when, Worried how, 'Rejoice dear friend'. I have no words, To describe all, The ups and downs, We've traveled along. I wish she know, How much she means, Even at times, She had to give in. She makes me feel like Aladdin, Like a magic lamp within my heart, She just shows up, Even before I'm touched. She's the only one I trust, Even with my eyes shut, She's no other, But the feeling from my gut. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-
