The Diamond Bead...

A long walk, on a tough street, Ancient shoes, there's no high heels, The tar streets, cracked for the heat, She had to walk, she burned her feet. That lonely night, not a wink of sleep, The day gone by, with work that exceeds, The mountain top's, tallest trees, How can she sleep? she had to weep. A deep dive, in the oceans deep, On a freezing night, with the stormy breeze, That drowns the ship, in the oceans deep, The water turned into ice, but she had to proceed.  In the woods she heard, the howls repeat, To her destiny she ran, from tree to tree, The fear, deep down in her heart, she buried, There's no other path, she had to sneak. The danger in the world, like a weed, Grown wild with sin, we all are weak, When the Earth is not safe, anymore, to proceed, Who else my friend, who else can succeed? She deserves praise, oh yes indeed, In a charcoal world, she's the diamond bead, Who had no choice, but to take...

Tick Tock, Tick Tock...

Looking at the golden clock, I barely hear the tick tock, tick tock, In a distance I hear a noisy flock, I cannot see through the door lock. Looking through the glass I saw, A hunter aiming from afar, I heard him laugh, I saw little paws, Oh yes I know, he's never to crawl. Once again that golden clock, Now I hear the tick tock, tick tock, In just a while I heard her growl, With a sorrow the world should never allow. Maybe the flock told her the news, Maybe she tried to stop the abuse, Already I guess, she miss little paws, The flock flew high with their sad songs. I saw her lie on the ground, Where little paws blood, she found, Adding drops of tears so rare, That tore the heart of mama bear, While tick tock reigned in the air. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

She's Fast Asleep...

Running so fast, from thought to thought, My face changed, from frowns to laughs, So long was, the paths we've crawled, That's what made this life so harsh. Welcoming, the new day's dawn, I watched, the moon go down, Along with, the rising sun, My thoughts did not, end her run. Seated on the mountain tops, I felt the touch, of the dew drops, Far away watching the crops, For just a while my thoughts had to stop. Walking down the bumpy streets, Sand sticking on my bare feet, The world had much, with nothing for me, I searched the Earth for something to eat. Getting on, my little toes, I had to peep, Into their home, I heard them scream, They beet me up, threw me into a scary jeep, I cried out for help, but my mom won't breathe, On the mountain tops, she's fast asleep. -Debra R. In My World You Glitter...

Pages on my calendar, Changed from one to another, That never made any difference, Surely, it's because of her. Seasons changed from spring to summer, Time flew through autumn and winter, I could not resist, but admire the colors, Life is made so easy even easier than the other. Life is short, it's something we discovered, We live our lives and enjoy it to the fullest, Now as I think, there's a thought that bothers, My heart repeats, "Then what about her?" When times are hard with a path that's rougher, I scream "Oh no this is worse than the others", Tapping my head and with a smile my mother, She sits on the floor, and my path is made smoother. When I need more love and affection than ever, I run upstairs and sit by the shutter, Seated next to my loving grandmother, I learn to love and care almost like her. At the start and the end of one day and the other, I kneel down and pray to my heavenly mother, Who interc...
