Travelling to a distance so far, Running away from the noise in the car, Leaning my head on a steel bar, I looked down to the road of tar. Dragging in my sleep with a yawn, My mom spoke loud, "It's new years dawn", Lifting my eyes to the skies so blue, I wished I had some permanent glue. I'll tell you why, you'll need it too, I wish I could say "Oh Grumpy you", There's a word called admiration too, But then again to start with whom? Looking back to the skies so blue, Thinking of what I can do, My heart said stop thinking of glue, So I wrote this rhyme just for you. I don't know you, You don't know me, Well, that's very true, But far away across the breeze, I felt you were grumpy too, Just smile, say cheese, Don't let it fade with the breeze, I'll come back to say peekaboo. -Debra R.
