Life's Best Portray...

On such a hectic day, Where I will never dream to say, A single word that would not sound grey, How did you fb? how did you manage to make my day? Trying hard to go out of the way, The work kept me stuck on the PC like clay, The beep helped me out to look away from the display, Now I feel like sticking on to my memories like clay. This rhyme for sure may not convey, The entire life we lived those days, But for a while I thought to replay, The love we shared, just let them carry us away. There were days we used to stay, Just to laugh and maybe play, Wasn't it fun the decoration days? The days we swam in utter disarray. Even if I write poems or essays, We can never have that time in the same way, But for sure and forever in my mind you'll stay, And you guys know what?? I think, that was life's best portray. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-

My Heart Missed A Beat...

Staring at the oceans so deep, You should have seen the relay on her cheeks, I wondered why she competes with the seas, Maybe she'll win, cause so great is her weep. Then again, I looked into the seas, I see the waves rising higher than the trees, She sits still and continue to compete, While I ran back, heading towards the street. How strange was that, the wave did not complete, It just went down, as if she accepted defeat, It touched her feet that's fixed as concrete, I saw her smile even through the weep, now that was sweet. I looked at the sea, how can she accept defeat, It's so ahead, nobody on Earth will ever succeed, But she bent down and kissed, her competitors feet, I could not resist but watch them repeat. Time went by and I heard a voice, The weeping girl asked me whether I enjoyed, She smiled at me with her faded eyes, People like the sea are who we mistreat, Was what she said, as she came back to her feet, With that being sai...

Shall I Get Into Their Shelves?

Scrolling down my feed today, My heart told, her dream came true that day, Then suddenly my mind told myself, It may be her but not your shelf. Running down the feed again, My heart said that I don't use my brain. Look at him, he's better now than then, My mind screamed out, "Oh not again", It may be his but not your shelf. Then again, my heart caught what they said, Surely, they were mad at them, I do not know what went wrong within themselves, But then again, it's their and not my shelf. Continuing to scroll again, Oh my God just look at them strain, Can I stop for a while to look at ourselves? But then again, it's their and not my shelf. Suddenly my heart so kindly said, Look here mind, I heard you loud I did what you said, But then again to you myself, It is true that all of them are not my shelves. But may I be free enough to laugh with them, And may I be kind enough to cry with them, Also may I be humble enough to ...

We All Can Be Mistaken...

Suddenly I felt so awaken, I dropped off the conversation, Taking all points to consideration, Oh, how can life be such a complication? Look around, look at the civilization, How sad to see, they lack admiration, Is it a fault in the configuration? Oh, how can they measure life with calculations? They were in the process of computation, They judged her stupidity with shouts of celebrations, It may be innocence, my heart thirsted for confirmation, But the air was filled with confrontation. It's clear for sure, they lack admiration, Then again, I heard the continuation, They judged another along with her acceleration, They said its pride, but my heart thirsted for confirmation. It seems like they have not escaped colonization, I did not mind, cause my heart thirsted for confirmation, In desperate need of proper communications, I ran off for some consultation. I cried out loud they all are mistaken, But what if you too are mistaken, Oh, that voice...

My Heart Ignites...

Waking up in the middle of the night, From a distance I saw a fading light, Sneaking out to stare at the skies, I saw gloomy clouds, cover the moon that shine. Telling the clouds, they have no right, To take away the beautiful light, That destroy the darkness each and every night, The moon peeped in to say, "It's only for a while". Through the dark, my eyes caught this sight, That filled my heart with so much delight, There is hope even through the gloomy nights, All that matters is your ability to shine. Looking for a spark to ignite, But what can I find on a gloomy night, I did not intend to invite you, Ms. Fright, The moon peeped again, to say, "It's alright". Considering the previous sight, It seemed to be a brand-new light, Dearest moon so quiet and bright, My heart heard your advice on this gloomy night. The moon took over my heart and mind, It's their duty not just their choice, To be my moon on the gloomy nig...

Now That's Very Clear...

Screaming out aloud in fear, I opened my eyes in my room so dear, It's a nightmare from a distance I hear, Go back to bed, I'll be near. My heart filled with so much fear, Wondering where the monster disappeared, Praying that he will not reappear, I must be brave there's no monster in here. Walking into the mall that's near, My friend and I stood under the chandelier, The weather was great outside and the skies so clear, I remembered my previous night's fear. I was about to share it with my peer, I noticed that she had just disappeared, Telling myself it's no doubt my dear, I saw her rushing to pierce her ear. Thinking of last night's fears, I happened to see eyes filled with tears, Far away I heard someone cheer, Another hung up the phone saying, I wish you were near. It's our own lives, nobody can interfere, With this thought I saw my peer, With a broad smile and a pierced ear, In her eyes was a fading tear. ...

In My World You Glitter...

Pages on my calendar, Changed from one to another, That never made any difference, Surely, it's because of her. Seasons changed from spring to summer, Time flew through autumn and winter, I could not resist, but admire the colors, Life is made so easy even easier than the other. Life is short, it's something we discovered, We live our lives and enjoy it to the fullest, Now as I think, there's a thought that bothers, My heart repeats, "Then what about her?" When times are hard with a path that's rougher, I scream "Oh no this is worse than the others", Tapping my head and with a smile my mother, She sits on the floor, and my path is made smoother. When I need more love and affection than ever, I run upstairs and sit by the shutter, Seated next to my loving grandmother, I learn to love and care almost like her. At the start and the end of one day and the other, I kneel down and pray to my heavenly mother, Who interc...

The Heart I Tore...

Oh, that terrible psycho, She'll make your mind blow, I think she got my right toe, Oh no no no, just let me go. No not my sister's stylo, Can you even write though? I feel that you might owe, My sister a brand new stylo. Stop spinning around like a gyro, Oh, please spare the walls yo, No, you can't have my coat, You better know this is my home. Just look at what you've done yo, You act as if you are my foe, Just let go off the pie dough, Go stand outside, out of my door. Such a mess you are yo, I hate you from head to toe, I will never let you come pass the door, You are forbidden forever and more. Looking up, around and below, I saw the ink that she have thrown, It looked as if the stars that glow, In the night sky hidden in my home. I felt so low, so here I go, I saw her seated at my door, So quiet and innocent as a doe, Looking at her my heart tore. I went close to her so slow, She looked at me, I saw her woe, I sai...

My Monday Morning Motivation...

This morning while rushing to the station, I was surrounded by ladies in a conversation, All I heard was, "Oh God this present Generation", I apologized and ran with no time for explanations. In the rush my mind prompts reputation, Not now mind, there's no time for frustration, My mind never showed me any cooperation, Instead she said you live in a judgmental civilization. I made some space for utter isolation, And told myself you need more preparation, Waking up in the midst of a very high population, What's wrong with me? I almost passed my destination. Dragging my feet in to the organization, Looking around to grab some inspiration, I told myself, you are a wonderful creation, With this thought, I used a bit of my imagination. Along with the Earth's rotation, History repeats, its not a complication, Things may come back in a severe formation, These ones that passed could be for my preparation, To face the next, was my Monday Mo...
