Let's Fill Our Hearts With Cheerfulness...

Welcome to the world's bitterness,
You'll never see a pic that is filter less,
You'll never see her real skin surface,
It's covered with dust, she's a bit nervous.

Welcome to the world's bitterness,
It's overloaded with wickedness,
You'll never know the world's purpose,
Hmm, it's filled with sinfulness.

Come admire her childishness,
Ignoring the floor's slipperiness,
Enjoying the fact of giftedness,
Warn her that troubles are indigenous.

Come admire his willfulness,
Ignoring the flames of the brick furnace,
Standing tall in the storm, with firmness,
Warn him that life has no syllabus.

Disregard the world's fearlessness,
Neglecting the values of religiousness,
Shameful is there fickleness,
They hide it all with glossy dust.

Disregard the world's unskilled urban,
Never live their life’s with purpose,
Their lives seem very humorous,
Warn them about life's uncertainness.

Let's plead to God, the whole universe,
To fill our hearts with tenderness,
To sweep away the wickedness,
To fill our hearts with cheerfulness,
Come let's live for his purpose.

When The Lights Went Out...

Surrounded by four brick walls, I could not look out, they were too tall, Watching the steam escaping the spout, I looked out the windows so small. On this chilly and gloomy night, I was amazed by the stars so bright, I realized there's always some light, It's just a matter of catching our sight. At the time, everybody just frowned, My heart was filled with stormy clouds, Seated on the chilly ground, I enjoyed, the chirping sounds. Even though I had to shout, Trying hard to chase away the stormy clouds, With a prayer requesting for a favor, To the lessons taught by nature, My head I bowed, On the gloomy night,  When the lights went out. -Debra R. The Untold Goodbyes...

To the sky, a gun was fired, A bird shot down, tangled on a wire, Bidding farewell, to the life he desired, He missed a beat, that the heart required. A frizzy worm fell, off his beak, A drizzle of hay, slipt from his feet, The flock flew away, with cries and screams, While baby bird in the nest, longed for his meal. That innocent soul, lifted into the skies, With desires, hopes, and  baby bird in mind, The skies absorbed, the sorrows with sighs, And mourns reigned, for an untold good bye. Tear drops escaped, the eyes of the sky, Rain drops fell, on the nest so fragile, Baby bird wondered, why isn't dad on time, Until the nest fell off, while his broken heart cried. Lying on, the muddy floor, Looking up, he saw a door, That opened wide, with a bright glow, With four wings spread wide, and a cheerful hello. A sweet chirp said, "come darling let's go", Another said "Dads with you, our little fellow",...

Tomorrow's Mind...

Seated at my window, On a sunny Sunday, Bothering how, I'll survive the next day. The day flew by with nothing to say, No memories gathered for the day, With loads of worries blocking my way, There was nothing I did to live for today. The night flew by with regrets so great, Thoughts flew in the whole night so gray, Excitements of Friday has vanished away, Expectations of Friday was thrown away. I wondered how things went this way, What mattered was tomorrow and not today, This sudden thought just crossed my mind, What if I never had a tomorrow but only today. More thoughts just crossed my mind, The time I've wasted how will I find? The hills I could have climbed, When will I climb? We repeat this crime, We don't realize, We are trapped in this trap, Of tomorrow's mind. -Debra R. N. Ludwick-
